Hightech Signs can produce Do-It-Yourself Installation Signs and Lettering
for you. With our ready to go vinyl letters and graphics, you can adhere our vinyl to
almost any clean non-porous surface. Check out our easy- to- follow
instructions below.
- STEP 1 - Surface Preparation
- Use a tape measure or a ruler to determine the exact area where the sign will be placed.
We recommend drawing a horizontal guide line and a vertical line in the center.
Make sure
the surface is clean. If needed, clean the surface with a clean, dry cloth.
- STEP 2 - Prepare Do-It-Yourself Installation Signage
- Hightech Signs will provide you with vinyl that has transfer tape (looks and feels like
white masking tape) on one side and backing paper (white and shiny) on the other.
Carefully peel the backing paper away from the letters; your graphic should remain on
the transfer tape.
- STEP 3 - Vinyl Application
- Place the taped vinyl on the pre-measured surface, using the lines to position the vinyl
correctly onto the surface. Press any air bubbles out from underneath the sign. Start in
the middle and press towards the edges of the letters or the graphic. Once the air bubbles
are gone, firmly press the vinyl onto the surface. Any final air
bubbles can be removed with a needle or sharp knife point.
- STEP 4 - Transfer Tape Removal
- Carefully peel back the transfer tape. This will leave the vinyl letters or the graphic
on your surface.
